Clay original for casting. I want one of these in whatever the final material is.

Howlies

I posted about the old version of this video some time ago, but it's been taken off line...and the Howlies went and made a brand new, probably HD version. The dancing and song is a little bit different, but that's OK -- look how clean it is.

Grid based tactics

When it comes to games, I really enjoy the act of moving around on a grid (or even organizing my loot on a grid), and I could be interested in any setting/characters/whatever do that grid-based movement.

So, imagine my surprise when I tried out this flash game based on the history of 1066. You move in a grid and you play as real armies. This is the best I've seen this type of game pulled off via flash, and I look A LOT for these types of things. To the point where I want to learn flash and try my hand at making one.

this is awesome.

What's more, they combine so many interesting play mechanics. For attack bonus on melee combat, you use your arrow keys to do a sort of Guitar Hero/Rock Band type simon says thing. For taunting, you do a Mario Teaches Typing thing where you type out the taunt; the faster you type, the more the morale boost/loss. Archery works like with trajectory - choose your angle and your power, but don't shoot your own troops! They also have formations and an army set up screen (try to play as only archers) using a 20-point system. Plus "passwords" to continue playing another day.

All very interesting.

what is going on with greenday?

Let's get right to the point. We all know Green Day is bad. I was watching tuesday's Late Show with Conan, and they were the musical guest. As the camera zooms in on them, you can see on the far right of the stage, back the same distance as the drummer, standing next to the amps is a mysterious fifth member of the band! He hides in the back with a microphone and sings along. So, they now require 4 singers and 4 instruments (5 people total) in order to make songs that sound way way worse than the songs they were doing with 3 guys when they started. Interesting.

That's him hiding there. Looks kind of like David Arquette.

Linework, issue 1.

Tentative title for this zine. I finally finished the drawings. I am a little slack. A friend is doing some writing based on these 10 images, and they will be combined, wrapped in a cover (with a map drawing I am working on) and then...i dunno. We'll have a stack of them I guess.

Amazing new Sackpeople

New Sackboy costumes for LittleBigPlanet. I love these, and I want a little flat screen tv on the wall at the foot of my bed...
