scrabble is trying to tell me something this morning

luckily, i don't let scrabble tiles tell me what to do.

hulu labs

it looks like hulu started up their own "labs" program yesterday. i found out via this tweet:

Obviously, the public schools and jonas brother things are more interesting, but hulu desktop caught my eye. you can grab it here: http://www.hulu.com/labs

i installed it and it's pretty slick looking. reminds me a lot of tivo, but on my computer. would be really, really nice to install on a media box/mac mini/something attached to a TV. on a laptop, it's nice looking, and you can control it with an apple remote, but since i don't have an apple remote it is pretty useless to me. i could just go to hulu and save myself a bunch of virtual and actual memory.

things i thought were good ideas...

France's Bacon

I keep a lot of notes on my phones. Mostly random jokes or things I think are good ideas. Need to clean out the phone notepad, so I am cataloging them.

monday morning

walked to the park slope public library this morning. it is 4 stories, and they mix all their comic books in with regular fiction...so, finding anything was a hassle. i decided to leave since i was overwhelmed. walked to the subway next to a guy in a navy blue sweat suit. he looked over once or twice, maybe i was walking too close. then i heard a guy say "i love your work" and this blue sweatsuit guy said "thanks" but he said it with john turturro's voice. then i looked over and it was john turturro. awesome.

morse.woot

woke up, looked at woot, remembered the new derby started around noon. quickly cranked out an idea. vote it up.

old idea, new sketch.

lost – season 5, episode 17 & 18

i think "jacoblivedinafoot.com" would be a great URL for...something.

So, that was the big finale to the penultimate season of Lost. 18 hours (of viewing) from now, and this show will be no more. They set off a bomb. Jacob died, and his unnamed rival now lives, but is found out to a degree.

Wanted to watch and not talk, so that's it til next year.

without 2.0

withoutbones.com is now live. it no longer runs on a CMS. I can't tell for sure if google analytics is working, but we'll see tomorrow.

to celebrate finally finishing, i am going to walk down the street and eat 2 slices of pizza. hopefully they will have root beer too, because i want a can.

mets

the guy in front of us had some amazing insults for the other team...but i can't remember them, as this was a month ago.

Lost – Season 5, Episode 16

follow the leader is this week's Lost, and the preview thumbnail is of richard alpert. that's all i need to be excited.

follow the spoilers

– They keep doing this thing where they show you the end of last week's at the beginning of this week's. Quit it already. We all watch this show.

– I just had to rewind, because I was sure that said "Thirty years earlier" like the 1940s, but then they showed Locke...and i couldn't imagine that.

– I watched them all die. I almost feel like just watching this episode and not talking about it. I've heard a lot of hype about it.

– That's the plot for the next year and the rest of this season–to erase the fact that this show ever happened? If Jack keeps trying to pull this off 'it never happened' plan, then I could almost dread watching. Jack and his stupid plans.

– Lot of possible dying in this one.

– Yes, what plane?

– So, the timeline here is that John Locke, via donkey wheel, was in the FUTURE, after his death, and a separate John Locke sent Richard Alpert out to talk to him. Richard tells John Locke he has to die in order to save his friends. Then the wheel turns, John goes in goes into the PAST, dies, and then it brought back to life in a time BEFORE he was ever told to die. Whatttttt.

– Where'd the first shot go? I can't imagine they'd shoot/kill Kate just yet...

– How can Jack say "I'm not wrong" when he is actually always wrong. Just cause he was supposed to believe John doesn't mean he should try and be John.

– If Ben would have said "Why do you think I killed him?" instead of tried to kill him. Maybe more of an impact on Richard who didn't know that yet.

– Dharma didn't finish their drilling, so when this bomb goes off will it cause the release of energy, and therefore they caused the Incident?

– Hahaha, yes! Killing Jacob. That's an awesome cliffhanger.

so far, so good

it's raining all week

so i am trying to finish this instead of going outside.

new withoutbones

yes, it's just a simple grid that grows to the size of your browser window. big deal, i know.

also, started reading Osamu Tezuka's Phoenix manga last night. So far I like it more than any other Tezuka stuff I've read. I'll probably buy this at my comic store, as I think the edition I have is missing a lot.

lastly, just noticed that Hulu seems to have almost every episode of Strangers with Candy. score!
