losing a dimension.
This is a clip from Cosmos, a PBS series that is available on Hulu. Hours of watching, coming up.
Cosmos on Hulu
Also, the book he mentions which is the first use of flatland as a phrase.
Back to work.

Bone continues?
NEW BONE!
So, one of these Bone books is only partially new, and the other is 3 novels with illustrations inside. But all of this is being drawn by Jeff Smith. Does this mean RASL will be even slower and be 1 issue a year instead of 3? I love the guy and all his work, but I wish I could see more of it. It also seems kind of weird to me. I always loved that in BONE proper, you never see Boneville. Only the Valley. To set stories in Boneville may take away the magic. Like finding out about the Wizard of Oz. Or uh, midichlorians.

scribblenauts x fft
i think scribblenauts looks really cool, and i love the obsession/detail of these street fighter/other characters in the same style:

so, i wanted to dabble with some. here's my first, a male black mage from fftactics. going to keep going until i'm bored with fft (never), and then maybe try out the invisibles or doom patrol or something like this.
while searching tonight, i may have found the most amazing resource for this...instead of just using tiny 200x200 images i find.

This site is amazing. I wish the Odin Sphere art was in game pixels, but still. Whoa!

Looking forward to this. Hope they never make a District 10.

brüno
the best part of the whole experience was the new District 9 trailer. previously i saw interesting posters on a bus station and upon closer inspection saw they were for that movie. i told leah about how it came to be made and a rough plot synopsis. as the trailer ended last night, she said, to herself, something along the lines of "whoa, i can't wait to see that". therefore, everything is amazing.
here's the 1st district 9 trailer which is good too..but this new one was really cool.
also, a lady in the row in front of us said, after the trailer, "i'm skipping that one!"

treasure world
when i read the title of this game, treasure world, i thought it was some sort of combination of all treasure's games...like marvel vs capcom but with insane shooters and stuff. instead it's an even more insane wifi-hot-spot-turned-into-treasure-collecting-game. i know – another one of those, right?
you can read way too much about this game here...if you are like me, you may get really interested.
at first you'll think, ok wifi hotspots become treasure. that seems pretty fair for an idea. but then you'll read that the arrangement of your in-game town is also sheet music for a song...well that's nuts.

honorable mention on shirt.woot
got an email the other day letting me know that i picked up an honorable mention for this shirt.woot submission. i think i've had 4 now that have been honorably mentioned. keep trying, i guess.
when i submit shirts, i'll go and check to see what place it's in sometimes, but i guess i forgot to read the comments on this one... seems like there was a little unhappiness that a similar shirt exists. i didn't know of the shirt before hand and checked it out, but don't really think it's all that similar to mine. same subject matter, way different execution. anyways.
